Coquard takes Picardie lead stage two after win
Sprinter Bryan Coquard got his revenge on Germany's Marcel Kittel in the second stage of the Tour Picardie with a narrow victory in Bailleul. Beaten by Argos Shimano's Kittel in the opening stage on Friday, French youngster Coquard managed to turn the tables 24 hours later to move into the race lead of the three-day event.

Davide Malacarne brought a bit of sun back to Europcar in stage three of Paris-Nice on Wednesday after the pains of the pervious day's action. The young Italian took second place in the final sprint to rise to third in the overall standings.

The team is in action this September in Paris-Bruxelles and the two Canadian UCI races - the Grand Prix de Québec and the Grand Prix de Montréal. Europcar is sending its big guns to North America, including 2010 Québec winner Thomas Voeckler, Cyril Gaultier, Sébastien Turgot and David Veilleux.

One week after his victory in the Alps, Thomas Voeckler added a second win after a magnificent ride in the Pyrenees. The Europcar road captain crossed four peaks in pole position to secure the polka dot jersey before soloing to stage 16 victory in Bagneres-de-Luchon.

Rolland makes an impression

Injured on Friday in a big crash, Pierre Rolland put in a superb performance on Saturday to allay any fears over his fitness. Rolland took a solid seventh place in the race's first summit finish at La Planche des Belles Filles in the Vosges mountains.
